The 3rd “Talking Across the World” Conference in Bangalore

Effective and efficient English communication has always been essential in the Hong Kong call centre industry. It is an important factor used in recruitment, training, customer service interactions, quality assurance and other areas related to the call centre industry. The HKCCA supports the 3rd “Talking Across the World Conference” (TAW), which will be held this coming April in Bangalore.

With the encouraging feedback and results from the last two conferences jointly organised by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and FuturePerfect Business English Specialists in Manila, the 3rd TAW Conference aims to extend the discussion of global initiatives related to communication in the call centre industry such as the role of language, customer service, recruitment, training, quality assurance, etc. With an intended turnout of 150 participants and speakers from Asia-Pacific, the United States, and Europe, the conference will bring together experts from the academia, research groups and call centre industry, providing an avenue for collaboration and sharing of best practices.
